leadership development

The SEVA Collective is proud to offer Online & In-person Leadership Development Programmes focused on service & collaboration. We understand that every client and organisation is unique. We work with our clients to create tailor-made workshops and leadership programmes.

Our services are tailored to facilitate personal growth and amplify leadership capacity & agility. In the context of a rapidly changing global landscape, we support leaders to lean into new thinking, creativity, consistency, emotional resilience, a clear strategic focus and to strive for excellence. Some of the desired success measures are to strengthen team leadership skills and to thrive in uncertainty. Our mission is for this to have a ripple effect and positive impact on organisational culture.

Our Team leadership programmes support teams working together and within their wider environment. They also create an opportunity to foster lasting change by developing safe and trusting relationships, better ways of working and new thinking. This enables teams to harness all the voices in the system, lean into their collective strengths and to maximise their collective potential, purpose, and performance goals.

'leading the next generation' Masterclass

Join The SEVA Collective for an impactful Masterclass led by our founder & leadership coach, Sam Wilcox-Diedericks & executive coach Lenka Mina

What has your experience with leading the next generation been?

Have you ever found yourself thinking:

• “I don’t know how to give feedback without triggering a reaction.”
• “I feel like I’m walking on eggshells.”
• “What motivated me doesn’t seem to motivate them.”
• “How do I balance empathy with accountability?”

“Leading the Next Generation” A masterclass for leaders navigating the Gen Z workplace

Gen Z is the most digitally native, values-driven, and mentally stressed generation to ever enter the workforce — and most leadership playbooks were not written for them. The biggest single challenge is this: Gen Z wants meaning, autonomy, and psychological safety — in environments still largely built for competency, compliance, hierarchy, and performance. This creates friction on both sides. Leaders feel Gen Z is entitled or disengaged. Gen Z feels unseen, micromanaged, or uninspired. Both are often right.

Why does this matter?

• Because every leader in that room was once the youngest person in the building. They had needs that weren’t met. Voices that weren’t heard. A self they learned to shrink, perform, or hide in order to belong and succeed.
• Because the cost of getting this wrong is enormous & the opportunity of getting this right is equally enormous.
• Because the old model — authority, compliance, performance at any cost — is not just ineffective with Gen Z & it is increasingly ineffective with everyone.

Leaders who learn to bridge this gap don’t just retain Gen Z, they unlock the best of every generation on their team.

'courageous to curious' conversations

Join The SEVA Collective for an impactful Masterclass led by our founder & leadership coach, Sam Wilcox-Diedericks & executive coach Lenka Mina

What has been your experience with high-stakes conversations?
Do you lean into them with curiosity — or avoid them until the pressure builds?

What are ‘Courageous to Curious’ Conversations?
Leadership today is shaped by how well we handle conversations that matter. Too often, leaders approach them with a command-and-control mindset — holding fixed expectations of how things should turn out. The result? Misalignment, performative dialogue, or decisions made without the people most impacted in the room.

We call these moments Courageous Conversations — the kind that carry weight, risk, and often trigger discomfort. But what if courage wasn’t the final step? What if courage was the doorway to something even more powerful — curiosity?

Curious Conversations shift the focus from control to connection. They invite leaders to listen deeply, ask better questions, and transform conversations into opportunities for alignment, trust, and impact.

When conversations remain purely “courageous,” leaders risk approaching them like battles to win. When they become “curious,” conversations turn into bridges — spaces where openness, creativity, and collaboration can thrive.

Why does this matter?

Leaders who master this shift can:

• Avoid the trap of assumed alignment, where everyone thinks they’re on the same page but no one has checked.
• Move past performative protocol, where form outweighs substance.
• Prevent voice confusion, where the most affected voices are absent from the room.

Instead, they build relationships based on genuine dialogue — not scripted speeches or defensive postures.

Courageous to Curious Conversations in Practice:

This isn’t about adding more communication techniques to your toolkit. It’s about changing the state of being you bring to the table. Leaders who embody curiosity create psychological safety, inspire innovation, and handle conflict with calm presence. When leaders make this shift, conversations stop being obstacles to overcome — and become possibilities to explore.

the masterclass

  • How to prepare for high-stakes conversations using clear frameworks and tools.
  • How to recognize and manage emotional triggers so you can stay grounded.
  • How to shift from commanding and controlling → to connecting and exploring.
  • Practical skills and micro-shifts that leaders can apply immediately to bring more curiosity, confidence, and presence into their daily leadership.
  • Moving from courageous to curious is not just a skill — it’s a leadership mindset & imperative. And it may just be the key to the most impactful conversations of your career.
  • Anyone who is interested in an immersive, practice-based exploration to navigate courageous & high-stakes conversations.
  • Leaders, managers, consultants, or others who want to learn how to elevate impact & influence in service of their leadership.
  • This masterclass is presented as a 90-minute online session of insightful learning & development.

“The Stepping into Self-worth” Programme

“You will never ascend beyond the limits of your own self-worth…” – Sam Wilcox-Diedericks

Join our brand-new ‘Stepping into Self-worth’ Programme and explore how amplifying self-awareness around ‘Imposter Syndrome’, will support you to live a life where you expand your levels of self-acceptance, embody your self-worth, and navigate beyond self-doubt.

the programme

On the surface, your life and leadership seems amazing and if anyone lightly scratched, they would reveal a silent battle that holds you back from reaching your true potential and ‘stepping into your self-worth’. It’s called ‘imposter syndrome’, low self-esteem, believing you are a fraud, or unworthy.

A 3-part live Zoom-hosted programme to learn tools and practices that will change your life. Each session is 90 minutes long and held in an atmosphere of trust and intimacy.

The course is designed and presented by Sam Wilcox-Diedericks, an executive coach, an enneagram practitioner, and founder of The SEVA Collective. She designed this course based on her years of learning, and of coaching clients who struggle with self-esteem and are ready to change.

“Stepping into Self-worth” is based on emotional learning. It is not therapy nor a replacement for therapy.

It is a course of study that helps participants explore deeply held patterns & beliefs, expand their emotional narrative and recognise their emotional blind spots.

  • Anyone who is interested in an immersive, practice-based exploration to shift their sense of self-worth & amplify personal mastery.
  • Leaders, managers, consultants, or others who want to learn how to navigate ‘Imposter Syndrome’.
  • You will learn that many feel incompetent, out of place and fear that they will be exposed as frauds.

  • You will learn that often we overestimate others whilst undervaluing our own abilities.

  • We will explore how striving for perfection can result in us feeling overwhelmed and ashamed when we fall short of our own expectations.

  • We will explore how we often dismiss praise and attribute our success to luck, dismissing opportunities to make meaning of what we have done well.

  • Practices for self-empowerment.

Shifting to a new way of thinking & being requires us to notice, acknowledge and address these patterns. We will explore and practice how re-framing our firmly held beliefs can enable us to avoid a powerful cycle of overwork, burnout, missed growth opportunities and ultimately amplify our sense of self-worth.

  • This programme is presented as three 90-minute sessions in consecutive weeks.
  • Due to the confidential nature of this programme, no recordings of the sessions will be available, and no AI enabled transcription tools will be allowed in the sessions.
  • Beyond each weekly session, you will benefit from 1-hour additional time to complete reflective practices or complete small assignments.
  • Each participant will also receive a 1:1 coaching session to explore any learning or coaching challenges as requested for the duration of the programme. This is a wonderful value-add and we invite participants to take advantage of this offer.
  • The programme is costed at R4 499.00 | $249. This includes 4.5 hours of live online learning, Sam’s presentation deck and learning resources.
  • If you are interested in this course and the full investment is currently beyond your means, please CONNECT with us at The SEVA Collective to explore options.
  • Each participant will receive a certificate of completion issued by The SEVA Collective.

Emotional Resilience Masterclass

Join The SEVA Collective for an impactful Masterclass led by our founder & leadership coach, Sam Wilcox-Diedericks

What has been your experience with resilience or are there situations which challenge your ability to cope?

 What is ‘Emotional Resilience’?
Emotional Resilience relates to one’s ability to cope with, and to recover from, stress-inducing situations, adversity and crises. (It is the inverse of stress) and the ‘spring’ that allows us to bounce back from surprises and shocks. We don’t think much about resilience until we feel the lack of it, often using words like exhausted, depleted, burned-out or being in a downward spiral to describe how we’re feeling.

The capacity to deal with such challenging situations varies across individuals and if a situation pushes stress levels beyond a certain point of tolerance (fight or flight ’&‘freeze’), then the result can be long-term or even permanent damage and stimulate chemical reactions such as inflammation in the body. People with high levels of emotional resilience still experience stressors, they have, however, managed to learn and develop coping mechanisms that enable them to deal with adversity, this includes navigating thought patterns and emotions, which helps them to remain relatively optimistic and protects them from burn-out, and spiraling into a self-care crisis.

When ‘Emotional Resilience’ is low, we often find ourselves ‘caught’ or ‘stuck’ in unhelpful emotions and we lack the ability to respond effectively. When ‘Emotional Resilience’ is high, we have the capacity to recover our emotional center, so that we can move forward.

Amplifying ‘Emotional Resilience’ allows leaders to navigate the demands of their many stakeholders in a rapidly changing landscape and to manage their reactions to unexpected events and remain flexible. This is crucial in dynamic and evolving environments.

In our quarterly masterclass, Sam Wilcox-Diedericks will be unpacking how you can amplify ‘Emotional Resilience’ and how a deeper understanding of ‘Emotional Resilience’ can lead to new possibilities and support you to navigate the uncertainty & complexity of leadership & life.

the masterclass

  • Anyone who is interested in an immersive, practice-based exploration to amplify emotional resilience in service of personal mastery.
  • Leaders, managers, consultants, or others who want to learn how to elevate impact & influence in service of their leadership.
  • The story of ‘Emotional Resilience’ – what it is and is not
  • The difference between ‘good stress’, ‘distress’ & ‘toxic resilience’
  • How ‘Emotional Resilience’ is supported by an emotional vocabulary and understanding
  • Why amplifying ‘Emotional Resilience’ is an important Adaptive Leadership Skill, which supports our capacity to lead and support others
  • How ‘Emotional Resilience is a vital part of self-care & dignity, which we build holistically & systemically by taking care of our whole selves and develop mastery through practice.
  • This masterclass is presented as a 90-minute online session of insightful learning & development.
  • A recording of the session will be available, and no AI-enabled transcription tools will be allowed in the session. This is to protect the confidentiality of this immersive session.
  • Engaging connections and discussions with fellow leaders, development professionals & others.
  • The masterclass costs R350|$25.00. This includes 1.5 hours of live online learning, Sam’s presentation deck and learning resources.

Personal Mastery Masterclass

Join The SEVA Collective for an impactful Masterclass led by our founder & leadership coach, Sam Wilcox-Diedericks

How can we be true to ourselves if we don’t know who we are, what our values are, and what our personal vision is?

The concept of ‘Personal Mastery’ emanates from a book by Peter Senge called “The Fifth Discipline” and it refers to the practice of continually clarifying and deepening one’s personal vision, being intentional with our energies, developing patience & resilience, and the acceptance of reality. It is also about developing a deeper sense of self-awareness and aligning one’s actions with personal values and purpose. This is the foundation for personal & professional growth and it is essential for effective leadership.

To be confident and effective, it is essential to first influence ourselves, before we can lead, impact and influence others. Organisations are looking for employees who take ownership and are accountable, and in my experience as an Executive Leader, a Leadership Coach and Enneagram Practitioner, you will often hear me speak to the ‘Leadership of Self’: “You can’t lead others unless you first lead yourself.”

Curiosity stands out as a fundamental pillar of ‘Personal Mastery’, characterised by a desire to learn, explore, and understand the world around us. It is a continual process of growth & learning and drives individuals to seek new experiences, ask questions, and challenge the status quo. The focus is on self-awareness, consciousness and fostering a growth mindset which enables you to learn from your environment and mistakes.

People with high levels of Personal Mastery never ‘arrive’ & it is not a one-time event, rather it is a lifelong discipline of curiosity, continuous growth and improvements. This level self-awareness along with a healthy sense of self-worth enables them to build the interpersonal skills required to be effective now, and into the future world of rapid change.

In this current age of Social Media and AI, if we are to attain ‘Personal Mastery’ it is essential for us to decide who we are before, an algorithm decides for us.

In our quarterly masterclass, we will be unpacking the concept of ‘Personal Mastery’ and why it is a leadership imperative.

the masterclass

  • The 6 key factors which support ‘Personal Mastery’.

  • That ‘Personal Mastery’ is a key factor in building resilience and is rooted in how much you are willing to develop a growth mindset. When we learn new things, it enables us to let go of the old assumptions and beliefs which no longer serves us.

  • How to be more personally effective, impactful & influential.

  • Why strengthening ‘Personal Mastery’ is an important Adaptive Leadership Skill and how it supports our capacity to lead and support others.

  • A path to ‘Personal Mastery’ & self-empowerment, and how we develop mastery, through practice.

  • The masterclass is costed at R350.00 | $25.00. This includes 1.5 hours of live online learning, Sam’s presentation deck and learning resources.
